Curtis Myles Gaghagen

May 20, 1950 to Febuary 3, 2021

Curtis Myles Gaghagen, 70, passed away on Febuary 3, 2021. He died at his home in Ft. Lauderdale.

He was born in Ft. Lauderdale on May 20th 1950. He was the son of Helen and Jess Gaghagen, and younger brother to Dennis Gaghagen. He Graduated from Stranahan High School in 1969. He was the Founder and Captain of Gaghagen's Diving, Towing, and Salvage, which was one of the first operations of its kind in Ft. Lauderdale.

He was a proud member of the U.S. Army from 1971-1976. He could be found almost every day on the New River or at Summerfields Boat yard doing what he always loved! He enjoyed his children's visits to Florida every year, we always wished they could have lasted much longer. He passed along his love and passion of the water to his Son. Curt was loved and very much respected by many people from all walks of life in the Ft. Lauderdale area. He will be remembered most fondly by his close and lifelong friends in the Shady Banks who will miss his generous nature, loyalty, and kind heartedness. He will be deeply missed by his children.

He is survived by Lisa Gaghagen and Michael Gaghagen and his five grandchildren. His remains will be spread at sea in April. If you wish to join us, please email me at Gaghagen@gmail.com for details. Goodbye Captain! We shall sail again very soon.
